! ! Corona Virus Update ! !

Sunday Worship

As our Sunday worship continues, we would gently encourage all who are joining us to continue with the wearing of face coverings.

For those who are still feeling cautious, there will be space for social distancing, and hand sanitizer will remain available.

We pray for God’s presence with us – and for NHS and health service decision makers to have as much wisdom as possible,

and for everyone who is affected and put under strain by this new phase to find strength and peace...

We will of course continue to keep all this under review, as further government announcements are made, and will adapt accordingly.

Our livestreamed and recorded Sunday worship will continue and can be accessed by clicking the buttons

and following the links below.

Good Friday IllustrationJigsaws to your door

Are you feeling bored or anxious? Have you still got that ‘shut in’ feeling?

In these stressful days, jigsaws are remaining popular as a way of passing the time or taking your mind off what is going on at the moment.

Several people have commented on how much this simple pastime has helped them.

We are offering a free delivery / collection service from our Jigsaw Library to those in the PL5 area.

For more information contact Lyn and Ted on 01752 706728 or email jigsaws (

Corona Virus

As we learn more about living with Covid-19, we are making every effort to proceed with safety uppermost in our plans and consequently some Upcoming Events may be subject to last-minute cancellation or postponement, however...

Sunday Worship times. We will continue with one morning service at 10am in February. This is also live-streamed on Facebook.

DO pray and join us and see what God is doing by His Spirit. This is time to rebuild!

In February also there will be a reflective Sunday evening service from 7- 8pm – making use of calm candlelight in the dark evenings and creating a gentle space to meet with God, each other and to reflect.

We will continue reviewing what we do in line with the government's future announcements and other guidance from Exeter Diocese.

As new things are starting up and other things are restarting, and as we need to find volunteers for a number of key roles really urgently, it is always important to start with prayer.

We have prayer meetings on Zoom on Wed and Sat at 9am. If you would like to join in face to face, then let us know and we can host one or both in church.

A reminder: Church is open for quiet prayer on Wednesdays from 10.30 -noon. If you are free, please make an effort to come in to pray quietly.

We really do need the Spirit of God to lead and guide us as we negotiate the coming days and months.

From 2nd March (on Ash Wednesday) at 11am there will be a short service of Holy Communion and also on the following Wednesdays until Easter.

This will be deliberately short (around 45 minutes). Everyone is welcome, but we hope a short service will be helpful to anyone who finds a longer service too much to cope with at the moment.

During a regular term-time Week:

School Prayer Walk – Prayer Walking for School has now resumed – but is on TUESDAYS at 10.30

Bible Study on Tues at 7.30 – Our Tuesday evening Zoom Bible Study is on Zoom but is hosted now from the church building so if you would like to join from there, do feel welcome but let Stephen know or ask him for the Zoom details!

The Church Building will be open on Wednesdays, 10.30am-12.00 noon, for quiet private prayer.

Wed and Sat at 9:00am – reflections and prayers - via Zoom. We would love more people to give it a try too. No prior experience needed.

Thursday Afternoons 1pm in the Hall. PRESENCE - Our new Daytime Get Together to Chat, to Pray, to Learn from the Bible and Meet with God

You can just turn up but it is helpful if you let Stephen know if you are coming

Playtots Playtots is back. We do have spaces for anyone who wishes to join in the fun and make new friends. For further information please contact Lyn through email at Early Years (

Care Team - We are all here to look out for each other; if our Care Team can help, please do get in touch by calling 07719 279382 and leaving a voice message, or by email at Care Team (

The Archbishop of Canterbury (and his team) have produced a daily hope line - a free phoneline with a message, songs, reflections, and prayers.

Free phone number 0800 804 8044 (do listen to the full menu as there are 7 options from hymns to the latest government advice. Do pass on the number to anyone who does not have the internet)
